One small decision can change a life.
A few days ago we found out a small decision made months ago is having big impacts and giving hope to many. A bone marrow registry match was found for someone swabbed at LoziLu in 2013.
As many of you know, LoziLu donates 5% of revenue to support kiddos with cancer through our partner non-profit, L.I.F.E. (Leukimea Ironman Foundation for Eric). We’ve been truly blessed to see girls’ day fun turn into life-saving assistance for the kiddos L.I.F.E. supports. LoziLu is dedicated to fighting cancer, and when an opportunity arises to assist others looking to make an impact at our event, we jump in.
In 2013, months before our LoziLu Denver event, a group named “The Craic Addicts” made a small decision to approach us about swabbing people and getting them signed up for the bone marrow registry. They are a group of Colorado Individuals who participate in fitness events to fundraise for cancer. A simple question and quick “yes” was all it took to set a chain of events in action.
To make a long story short, an individual at our Denver event who registered was matched with someone on the list. We received a short touching email from Kate, the founder of The Craic Addicts, which you can see below.
It is a simple reminder that hope, and a shot at life, can arise from one small decision. Thank you to everyone who registered for the bone marrow registry in Denver!
